Re: Bent Mast
I don’t think so. At least try and get bent it straighter. You’ll have to support it where needed and load it (beyond straight). Mast is stronger than you might think. Locate a local millwright or metal worker to assist if you’re not comfortable with the job. It has to be done safely Search this si...

Re: New mast
How badly is the mast bent? It may be able to be straightened. Had a bend in my M26 mast and managed to get it out. Tried doing if myself but then went to a rigger who did the job for me. Essentially you suspend the mast either side of the bend and apply weight at the bend. In my case I couldn't app...

Re: Anyone else have a 26M with a locked (non-rotating) mast?
I tried to do it myself by propping the mast either side of the bend but I couldn't get enough constant t pressure down on the bend ie my weight and additional suspended weight. Elected to go to a rigger who had an anchor point cemented to the floor of his workshop. Suspend the mast and block a tack...

Re: Anyone else have a 26M with a locked (non-rotating) mast?
@sea shadow How did you lock the Mast with a pin. Details! Photos! Just drilled a hole through the plate attached to the bottom of the mast and the plate on which the mast rotates. Used a drop nose pin to "lock" the mast so it won't rotate :macm: https://i.postimg.cc/DScG9H1Z/20221229-160...

Re: Anyone else have a 26M with a locked (non-rotating) mast?
I still have the rotating mast. However, I did "lock it" with a pin when I had a problem with the mast rotating and staying in the rotated position on setup and subsequent sailing. I worked out that the problem was that I had bent the mast on setup :( . Subsequently got the mast straighten...

Re: Anyone Fitted an Air Head Composting Toilet to an M26?
Thanks for that. I thought the head looked different to mine (which is a later model). Still, at this stage it looks like I will get one. If anyone else has fitted one on a late model M26, it would be nice to hear from you.

Re: Anyone Fitted an Air Head Composting Toilet to an M26?
2004 26M :macm: Installed Airhead in 2015. Left the vent open in bad seas and sea water went in ruined the fan and got in the airhead. Had to replace the coco coir and fan. Good to carry extra replacements. Now I close vent while traveling. https://i.postimg.cc/8FvSYWgV/IMG-0294.jpg https://i.posti...

Re: Anyone Fitted an Air Head Composting Toilet to an M26?
They work good.. but if anyone pee's in the wrong location.. a TOTAL MESS. (had one person I know with one.. loved it .. worked great.. had friends over.. for beers.. peed in the wrong "location" made the coconut mulch (or what ever) all wet.. total disaster) If used correctly, most peopl...

Anyone Fitted an Air Head Composting Toilet to an M26?
A bit of a shout out to the vast reservoir of knowledge on here. I have been using a porta pottie as the head. However, I am interested in fitting an Air Head Composting Toilet. Has anyone done this before and are there any pitfalls. I would appreciate any help. My boat is a M26 (2011) model. Thanks...

Re: Dwyer DM-6 as replacement mast.
Currently my mast is locked tight so it will not rotate.. It always pops to one side .. and always stays there all my might I cannot center it... (I installed the bearings.. then removed them) I think its the slight bow in the mast preventing it for rotating properly.. or the rigging is not tension...
