I'm brand new to sailing and recently purchased a 1985 Mac 22. The way the rudder was rigged when purchased causes me to have to "manhandle" the rudder in order to raise it--to reach down and grab it in order to raise it above 90 degrees--and then tie it up with a separate line. That can't...
