Re: 26M Centerboard Line Replacement
Hi, I just went through this, after my wife drove it aground and I had to cut the rope and drop it out the bottom in shallow water :| When your mast is off, flip open the latch and pull the entire board out up through the top deck. There are two ropes, one is longer and led back to lift/ lower the b...

Re: mac vs hunter edge ????
IThe hunter is a far nicer vessle, The crafsmanship and materials are not even comparable with a Mac. The cockpit is huge, steps down the transome to the water, and still a good sized rear birth. The draft is only 18 inches like a Mac but the ballast is 1600 lbs compared to the 1250lbs of a Mac. It ...

Re: Roller Main and other stuff

Re: Boom Vang
I upgraded my main sheet blocks to the airblocks when I was at BWY. It was a cheap upgrade and it freed up my old main sheet blocks, which work perfect for the vang. I only had to get the little bail to attach to the boom. Because it is the original main sheet block, it has the cams set up perfectly...

Re: Asymmetrical Spinnaker
I Love "the bag," I use it all the time now that I am comfortable with it, the best sail I have. I love the bright colours and the way it dances around in the wind, that is sailing. The performance down wind in light air is awesome. 800 bucks with a ATT sock from Macgregorowners.com on a 2...

Re: Full Enclosure

With the Canadian dollar in the basement....shopping south is not a good option, glad I bought my boat in the US last year, would not be abl...

Re: Full Enclosure
FYI if you already have or plan to have teh stern rail seats you'll need a differnt bimini and enclosure, so this might be the time to placn ahead. When I bought the boat, I walked down the street to BWY and bought their big bimini, and the boat came originally from BWY and already had a doger. I d...

Re: Full Enclosure
You can use them without the side windows (although they may flap) and they will protect you from head on spray, however as soon as you turn off the wind the water will still find you. They connect with two zippers, one on the dodger which connects up to the bimini and mid-connector and one on the ...

Full Enclosure
Hello, I am slowly purchasing a section per year to ultimately have a full enclosure from BWY. So far I have a Bimini, Doger and mid Connector. What I am wondering is what do you think about the small side windows that go behind the winches and connect to the doger and mid connector. Do they restric...

Re: Check list
Yes I second that, it is a huge list. To me the big ticket items are the important one's. Like the engine, sails and haul. I was disappointed to find little blistering on my haul after cleaning the bottom. The general condition of the mast rigging, as in the attachment points and cables that hold th...
