Re: Best. Boat Name. Ever.

Ours might be the most confusing. Do We: 797.124 It's the Dewey Decimal Number for Recreational Baoting in libraries. I am a librarian. I met my other half when we walked into my office to ask questions about our library's funding. When we were considering buying our tattoo we kept thinking and sayi...

Re: Plumbing 101

Thanks seahouse.

This is perfect. I'm going to copy it and save it as a word doc in my maintenance folder.

I appreciate the suggestion of providing separate drinking water.

Re: Plumbing 101

Seahouse Can you provide more information about 'aseptic technique'? Are there additives? Is there an annual flush that should happen as part of winterizing the boat? Should it be kept full to a certain level for some reason? All new to a boat with plumbing. (Never had an RV either.) Barb aboard Do ...

Re: THOSE AFT BERTH HATCHES SUCK! THIER GONE!

That is a good alternative. And I suppose the cross pieces cut to the right length will actually make the covers fit in place properly. It doesn't seems like a one of them sits perfectly in the grooves. And, nearly every one has a piece of velco that has come off the hatch or boat and is attached to...

Re: newbie

I took a Thunderstorms class in Annapolis last weekend and the sailor/meterologist that taught the class said the best thing you can do it buy a digital barometer. Digital not classic Weems and Plath. He said you don't need to know what the pressure is when you are looking at it, but you need to rev...

Re: THOSE AFT BERTH HATCHES SUCK! THIER GONE!

The tats have the have hatch covers. And after 36 hours of ownership we are already planning that mod. :x

(Found this thread while looking for crock pot meals, by the way, and only BOAT's fondu had a hit. But sure glad it did for the design of the hatch covers.)

I did take photos...and left the camera on the boat. :( Will upload tomorrow night. Its a solid tank on the starboard side of the v-berth. Approximately 18"w x 12"d x 12"h. Opaque white. All three hoses exit on the starboard side. The small one to the water pump near the bottom of the...

Plumbing 101

We just picked up our new Tattoo 26 yesterday. This is the first boat we've owned with a water system. It seems simple enough. More simple that the electrical...that's another post. Yikes. On the road

Bringing our new baby, :tat26: "Do We: 979.124" home after sea trials. It was a long winter of waiting but in two weeks, hopefully, we'll sail into her summer berth.

Let the mods begin.

Re: Planned Mods For 2015

Despite buying a new out of the box :tat26: , we have mods too. Swap the head curtain for a custom, pretty one. The white vinyl is so stiff it covers up half the doorway. Install a stereo, speakers and a tv. Install a new face for the galley, one with access to all the storage underneath. Teak or te...
