I solved my hard to furl line with "reel majic". I spray it on the line about every other month and it make a huge difference. It goes from almost impossible (and some snagging problems) to really pretty easy to furl. It's a spray can and used for fish reels. I unfurl the genoa and then go...

I've the same situation regarding motion to one end of the pin/up to the cotter ring. I would recenter it and eventually found it always worked itself in the same direction. I bought a large headed pin from Blue Water Yachts that now stops against the large "quarter" sized head and leaves ...

You won't believe this....... but, I used to have mine jam a lot. After much experimentation, I discovered that if I unfurl on a port tack mine furls back in just fine. However, most every time I let it out on a starboard tack..... it will be hull to furl in at the end of the day. Why? I don't know....
