Taking in water on port side of vessel during winter
I have a 26x and now I’m officially fed up with having water on the port side of the boat while it’s on the trailer sufficiently covered. I do live in the inner Northwest and the vessel does get plenty of condensation. However two days ago I bailed out at least five gallons. Anyone else have this pr...

Re: Mast and sails for sale.
That’s a great point and now I’m having second thoughts. I love sailing my
and maybe in time when I send the kids camp for the week I can rig the boat and have dad time.

Mast and sails for sale.
Hello, With my family having no interest in sailing and physical limitations with my arm I am turning my Macgregor :macx: into a power cruiser so there is no need to keep the mast and sails. The 26M mast was purchased in 2008 replacing a 26x mast as an upgrade (mod) from Blue Water Yacht. It comes w...

Re: Helm failure 2001 26x
I have had several conversations with Evers in the past but right now BWY is short handed and I haven't got any response regarding the UFlex setup so I'm going with for sure Teleflex. I need to get back on the water.

Re: Jib or Genoa?
I am a firm believer in keeping every Sail. Last year we got caught in a micro burst that destroyed our genoa. Luckily I had a spare jib that saved our sailing season because we only have one reputable Sail repair shop in the region and he was at least a month out until he could make me a new Sail.

Re: Helm failure 2001 26x
I feel like I'm back in school doing a research project and after careful consideration I'm going to go with the old standby Teleflex package that Blue Water Yatch sells for 2001 26X. As much as I want the U-Flex my gut tells me to go with parts from a Macgegor Store. Thank to everyone that gave adv...

Re: Water in storage during winter
Hello, Thank you for all your replies. After finally getting time to go through the cabin I found some Disney water bottles shoved into a hidden space under the sink that leaked. Also the other main issue was lack of ventilation. To combat this problem I made a new hatch with vent you can close from...

Re: Water in storage during winter
I live in a cold climate, outdoor storage but boat was tarped. Ventalation was poor all winter and I found heavy condensation in the head. With paper towel soaked but no evidence of standing water in on floor. All cushions dry. Also no water bottles on the boat that would have cracked over winter. R...

Water in storage during winter
Hello,
I have my 26x trailered over the winter and the boat was tarped off. Today I found some water in the storage (seating) Right next to the stove. Everything was drained and dry when I put the boat in my storage unit.
Any thoughts?

Re: Raising mast with furler attached + MRS
I raise my mast with the furler on. I use my MRS pole then attach my inner forestay. This allows my to work on any fouled lines and attach my furler.
