Thanks very much for the suggestions. I have tried pumping air into the ballast tank with a small air pump, but was not able to find the leak. I may try to fill the bilge with water and then pump air into the ballast tank and look for bubbles.

Water Leaking from Ballast to Bilge
I can confirm, through a die test, that I have water leaking from the ballast tank to the bilge in my 2001 MacGregor 26X. I have searched visually for a leak, but cannot find it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find the leak in the ballast tank and how to fix it?
Thanks. Billy

Russ and Spectre.
Thanks for the reply regarding the ballast tank leak. I was thinking about insterting a fibre optic camera to view the inside of the tank. I will keep the forum posted.

Ballast Water Leaking into Bilge
Over the past season, I noticed some water showing up in the bilge and some water being lost from the ballast tank. I did a dye test of the ballast water and found the ballast water was indeed leaking into the bilge which was being discharged by the bilge pump that is located slight to the port side...

Sport Pilot Wheel Autohelm
I have a 2001 MacGregor 26 X with a Raytheon Sport Pilot autohelm which communicates with a fluxgate compass. When turn the the stem to navigate, it works fine; when I return the stem to Standby, it continues to guide the wheel rather than disengaging. Is there a simple reason for this, or is the Sp...

Re: Losing Ballast Water
Also,
When I leave the boat with the ballast tank about 1 inch below the bow plug, I notice the next morning, the water level in is lower than 1 inch below the plug.

Re: Losing Ballast Water
The boat is in the water. Which vent could be leaking and how to you fix a leaking vent?
Thanks.

Losing Ballast Water
When I leave my boat with the ballast tank full, I appear to be losing some ballast water overnight. This water seems to showing up in the bilge. Could the seal around the gate valve be leaking and causing this transfer of water from the ballast tank to the bilge? Thanks. Billy
