26X Mast Rake
So I was finally getting our 26X out for the first time this season and did a quick check of the rigging only to find the forestay badly frayed at the top. No worries, BWY has replacement forestays so ordered one up and had it in hand the next day. However, the new stay is about 6" longer than ...

Re: Lowering mast while under way
We've only had our 26X for one season but have put the mast up a number of times while on the water. We have an adjustable back stay which may help. Not sure if you are solo or have crew but we find that once the mast is standing, if we have one person at the furler ready with the pin, and the other...

Looking forward to a custom 120-135 Jib with luff pad and two sheets so we can run both sets of tracks (even if we have to add an additional forward track) at the same time and compromise on pointing and reaching, The 150 is awful f...

Re: Replacement Sails
Hey all, Just thought I would update with information I received from BWY regarding their sails. They advise that all of their sails are made with Challenge High Modulus Dacron which has less stretch than standard Dacron making for a sail that holds it's shape longer (except for their performance cr...

Re: Replacement Sails
I replaced my sails a couple years ago through BWY, and they were Doyle. I have no complaints. Thanks azav8tor, interesting to note they are Doyle. Per the BWY website, the "BWY exclusive" sails are manufactured in Seattle, the quote I received from Doyle says they are manufactured in Poi...

Replacement Sails
Hi all, Just picked up a '97 X and spent a few weeks out on the water getting familiar with it. Unfortunately we had our jib sail start coming apart at the Leech I suspect due to UV exposure as I understand the sail cover that came with it is new (meaning it was probably left in the sun prior to tha...
