Re: Remember the $9000 '06 M?
We got her safely in the marina and had just a couple of issues. Bringing her up the island (our marina is a tiny thing in a residential area with no ramp), the motor died twice when we throttled down, which is no big deal in the great big blue but the second time was coming in the very narrow chann...

Some guy,s on here added a 1/2" X 2ft plastic tube too the top rear 2ft of the D/B J 8) PS nice work by the way We did that too, after seeing the mod section. Figured we may as well while we were rebuilding it anyway. You can see it off you blow up the db picture - the bottom paint hides it a ...

Re: Remember the $9000 '06 M?
I would put a rubber stopper or some sort of cushioning on the top of the dagger board to stop it from smashing into the SS plate, cause it will. I had planned on adding some to the stock setup as it would hit the base of the mast when up-hauling sometimes and take chips out of the top. Thanks! I w...

Hey Tony, We just did the same thing on our :macm: . Not sure if it's the same kind of setup on a :macx: , but we ran VHF wiring from our radio which we mounted next to the campanionway and then ran the cabling back to the area under the deck and mounted a through deck VHF fitting. You have to compl...

Remember the $9000 '06 M?
It's time, friends!! We're going to attempt to "float our boat" on Saturday (with luck). We have done a bunch of repair, some you can see, most you can't. We found that the more we tore into her, the more we realized how torn up she was. I think I've attached a couple of pictures of the da...

Re: Help with measurements on 26M
the manual available on this site shows a diagonal measurement rather than an angle to the water line (the text refers to using a level to establish plumb, but the diagram shows geometry independent of boat level or mast plumb :? . 8) I know - it's been killing us trying to figure out the rake, etc...

Re: Help with measurements on 26M
Not sure myself where I got the 4 inches from but the boat round up only if I press it hard and we are heeled waaay to much so it seemm to work. I had read here on the forum how the mac round up in stroong winds, so I didn't use the factory setting ever. I must have read it somewhere on rig tuning ...

Re: Help with measurements on 26M
The DB opening looks wider at the front than the one in Jimmyt's picture. Maybe it's just the camera angle. No, it does seem wider than the other guy's picture on Facebook as well. But since it's there and you can't do much about it, perhaps it would be better to modify the mast base plate instead ...

https://s6.postimg.org/fy291uez5/IMG_0563.jpg See where your plate stain is? If you look at our picture, it is waaaay back from that edge. A guy on facebook posted his measurement to the leading edge of his daggerboard trunk and our's is a good 1" fore of his. It's hard to believe, but our mou...
