I attach the bottom block to the anchor cleat running the pull line all the way to the cockpit so that I can use the wench and cam cleat to raise and hold if needed. This arrangement al...

Re: Trailer sway - what to do and how to react?
Looking at the pictures and descriptions, the best bet is too light a tongue. My started that way so I tied a heavy dead battery on the front of the latter. Since I have been traveling longer distances, I have a side mount spare tire mount with the tire there now. The tendency to sway increases with...

As said in the previous post. Dive under and push the CB up. Have someone cleat off the rope/line. Now you can put it on the trailer to check it out. Since it is in fresh water, there is the possibility of mussels in the center board tunnel. I am in salt water and barnicals can build up quickly.

Re: What's the exact Mast Raising System procedure on Mac 26
Attach a line, rope, to empty hold on the plate at the bottom end of old forstay. With the back stay disconnected, raise the mast, and the side stays will prevent it from falling forward. The mast almost vertical, tie the new rope, line, to the bow pulpit. Now you can move everything out of the way ...

Re: 1990 26S centerboard slop
91 M26S ! Painted the inside of the center board trunk and the center board with 4 coats of ablative bottom paint. That decreased the clearance so much that the CB stuck. I took it back out and sanded the top, head, so that the board moved easily. When I was painting the center board, I wrapped up a...
