Daggerboard safety line length

Replacing my dagerboard this season, wondering if anyone knows the oem length of the safety line? Not sure how far out of the locker the board should go.

:tat: You can find many 4 to 6 gal tanks that will fit under the seat in tandem. BWY will sell you the straps to hold them in place. I kept the original 12 gal on one side but only fill it for extended trips.

Where are you sailing in Lake Erie that your getting 20mph winds and big waves? Were sailing out of Brest Bay on the western shore and rarely see those conditions. I can attest, Our slip in Lake Erie is at least 3 ft up from last year.
On the plus side I can float my :macm: right up to the grass and pin the furler while standing rather than hanging off the bow and performing the feat upside down! 8)
