Re: Rudder Pivot Hardware
The bolts/washers are nasty, and left lots of rust everywhere.. I ordered some SS tubing so I can make the bushings.. do not think any were there.. did not see any bushings.. (or they are 100% rusted out.) I heard some people use old CDs for spacers between the rudder, and the mount..(?) and cut the...

Rudder Pivot Hardware

Re: Practical Sailor just dropped a great vid on the Mac
Tim was from our Yacht Club.
The only Mac he every saw was mine. He was a Mac hater.
He bought my friend's fathers old water logged sail boat.. years ago.
The one he almost sank when he took it to the Carib. and ran out of money, calling all the people at the club for "donations".

Was told to never fog a EFI engine by the dealer.. only fog and stall out a carb'ed engine.

Re: Have you ever had the itch to sell your 26M/X and buy a "true" sailboat?
We were with friends sailing last year, right in front of the Windsor Riverfront (right down town by the Renaissance Centre) Cnd Coast guard insisted to at bare min moto-sail. We did challenge them they would not have it. Said it was too dangerous with all the commercial traffic. We were off well to...

Re: Raymarine Axiom 7-RV MFD with RealVision Transducer
If you do not run the RV mode.. only say.. depth.. will that make the battery last longer?
Or do you always pull full load?

Re: Have you ever had the itch to sell your 26M/X and buy a "true" sailboat?
For us, we are always on the lookout for a new boat (at a good deal) The wife would love nothing more than to get a cat and do the "you tube" cruising thing. But that is a HUGE jump in price and maint. For instance, a basic 35' Tomcat/PDQ cat that would be more for the great lakes... a 20 ...

Re: Batteries
One thing to note.. is that MARINE GRADE batteries, have WELDED plates inside them.
This is so they withstand all the bounce/pounding.
If you go get generic batteries.. say.. from Princess Auto... or some low end brand, most are not welded plates inside them, and thus do not last long.

Re: Honda 50 hp carburetor synchronization
Great News.. Time to promote the Admiral.. I would be curious how "off" your carb sync was. And if it smoothed out the OB. Also if you get a bit of Sputtering at higher RPM that could be the float in the carb(s) not properly set. (mine had that) I did repower anyway... wife.. err... cabin ...
