Re: Wheel Autopilot Questions...
I have had an S1 Wheel Pilot (with rudder sensor) installed for about 4 years. Works great under sail or slow motoring (boards down). Won't work with a crap motoring at high speeds...but I find my boat a little bit hard to handle at full speed anyway (lots of steering corrections). I have used mine ...

Re: Time to sell my Mac...looking for tips/advice
Yes it does. And that was the first place I advertised. That is how I found my Mac many years ago.
4 months for $35.

Re: Time to sell my Mac...looking for tips/advice
Jim, Sorry to hear that you are selling your Mac,now that I'm Macless I'm looking again, when I sold my :macx: I listed on boattrader.com in a free ad, graiglist, and a couple of other places. By far I got the best response was from boattrader. It was finally sold to someone that saw it on boattrad...

Re: Time to sell my Mac...looking for tips/advice
Hi Jim, Sailingtexas has a Mac-specific section of their classifieds, but it didn't do us any good this spring (perhaps because we're so far from Texas?) -- we also listed here on the MacGregor Sailors site, but got the most traffic, and actually sold Blue Heaven due to a "featured" ad on ...

Since you asked... My new business: http://www.northstarsailingcharters.com http://www.facebook.com/northstarsailingcharters (would appreciate any and all "Likes"... 8) ) ... okay, that was blatant begging... The move to Mississippi from the Pentagon was initially "unplanned" and...

Time to sell my Mac...looking for tips/advice
Fellow Mac Enthusiasts, After 6 years of enjoying my Mac, König, I have decided to try and sell. As several of you are already aware I have recently retired from the USAF and I bought a bigger boat and a sailing charter/school business on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I really enjoy sailing on K...

Re: 26m sailing performance
Big factor in pointing on a Mac...IMHO...is the foresail. I don't point nearly as high with my 150 Genoa as my buddy TFlight with his Jib. Furling in a Genoa does not help very much...furled genoa is not very efficient...IMHO. But I wouldn't give my 150 Genoa up for anything as I like the reaching a...

Re: Registration markings on inflatable dinghy
I could probably get away with that since the registration is a plastic ID card that goes in my wallet. So if stopped I would have proof of registration on me.

Re: Registration markings on inflatable dinghy
I had heard about that...wasn't sure of the legalities. Not sure how I would hang a "board" unless it was on the sides (rather than up at the bow). Here are some pics: http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/c130king/SANY3662-1.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/c130king/SANY3661-1....

Registration markings on inflatable dinghy
I have acquired a 10' inflatable dinghy (and 2.5 HP Mercury). Sent in the registration paperwork to Mississippi Dept of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and now have the registration. Need to apply the registration number decals to the dinghy. So just wondering if there are any issues with applying the...

Re: Furling Mains'l and photos
I don't have furling main on my Mac ( I do on my big boat...very nice) but my boom will not go over my bimini. But my bimini is pretty easy to disconnect at the front end. So if I want to tack or gybe I simply reach up and disconnect and pull the bimini back for a moment...tack/gybe...then pull the ...

Re: Halyard Shackle
I don't even use a shackle. Just a bowline tied through the headboard. Nothing to bend or mangle...or break or fail.
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Jim
