Re: 26M Swim platform

We have a similar swim platform on our 26M.

Have a look near the end of this discussion on the Australian Forum.

Re: Battery to Fuse panel routing? Fuse values?

Just re-read through all the posts. One note - our 2007 M has a (original) negative bus bar in behind the cabin switch panel - not just a bolt. I know it's original as it's a custom made job :( It's quite serviceable though and I've retained it for the moment. I feel your pain with tracing the wirin...

Re: Battery to Fuse panel routing? Fuse values?

My wife and I bought a 2007 M about a year ago and did a rewire of the electrical system as one of our first modifications. We wanted to fit a large solar panel and increase the battery capacity. I have a background in electronic engineering and was quite impressed with the existing wiring, most of ...

Re: So I just bought a Mac X....

I think most MacGregor owners have cobbled together some sort of support for the middle section of the mast when trailering. The right-angled piece of steel (looks like it's on a pin - so it can rotate), about 5 inches above your finger in the second photo seems like the traveling support to me. May...

Re: Trip report - Mandurah December 2020

The weight (estimation) is 20kg (44lbs). It has a stainless tubular frame top and bottom and is attached/hinged on the motor tilt tube. Re: Trip report - Mandurah December 2020

Ray, I understand - not a good situation. Never click on a link you are not comfortable with. For what it's worth, my son did a complete site evaluation and scan last night - it's up to date and squeaky clean. One thing I thought of, make sure you are using the correct URL, remember that this forum ...

Re: Trip report - Mandurah December 2020

Hi Ray,
I would suggest that your systems have got some data skewed there.
It's a sub-site of my business site, hosted by my son's web development company and currently running on a Vultr VPS (Australia).
Never had anyone report warnings or issues before.
Cheers,
Richard

Trip report - Mandurah December 2020

We managed to get Eureka in the water over new years.
I wrote a quick blog on the trip - a short cruise around Mandurah which is about 70km south of Perth, Western Australia - in case it's of interest to anyone.

Re: Trip report - Shark Bay July 2020

Thanks. Yes the auto-pilot setup is a real asset. Re the daggerboard: I took it out for the first time when we got back. It looks like I put a new notch in the trailing edge - but only about 3/4 inch deep. There were an additional three or four other notches - looked to be older - probably from the ...

Trip report - Shark Bay July 2020

Hi all, We (Richard and Anne) are MAC newbies from Perth WA. We bought a 26M in April, did a bit of work and then took it to Shark Bay for our 30th wedding anniversary in July. I have put together a blog of the trip, as well as some of the modifications/repairs. I include a link to it below in case ...

Just in case it could help someone, I've just bought a 26M and it has this mod installed. Haven't tried it out yet though.

Re: Bow in Mast.

I have just bought a 2007 26M and have absolutely no experience with the boat or mast tuning. However, I notice the manual that came with the boat has something to say - quoting from the manual: "Ideally, the mast should have about a 1" bow. In other words, the centre of the mast should be...
