Re: Exhaust manifold temp. sensor broke off, can I use threading tool? Suzuki DF50
Thank you for the suggestions. I have been trying to scrape out some of the remaining sensor with one of those metal picks that dentists use. It seems that every day I get a little more out. I think I will try the dremel in a few weeks if I don't get any additional stuff out.

Exhaust manifold temp. sensor broke off, can I use threading tool? Suzuki DF50
I posted on the Hull Truth about my 2002 Suzuki DF50 and the extremely annoying beep every 5 seconds. I assume there are quite a few DF50 owners here who may have experienced the same. https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/1291574-exhaust-manifold-temp-sensor-broke-off-can-i-use-threading-tool-...

Re: Installing a kicker bracket for a 6hp 4-stroke on a 26X
Hi Wyb2, I agree; I searched for "using a 4-stroke on a 2-stroke bracket," but that didn't result in much. I will also order the Five Oceans and see how sturdy it is. I took some pictures of the transom to show the curve: https://i.postimg.cc/qNMT3bxX/96-FF4-F35-CEBE-4-ADF-960-F-FBAD68-A8-...

Re: Installing a kicker bracket for a 6hp 4-stroke on a 26X
Hi NiceAft, very interesting, the no-holes solution! I did something similar, I made a mount inside the swim ladder. First, I put a 55 lbs eclectic motor on it, which hardly pushed the boat forward. Then upgraded to an 86 lbs Newport with 2x12v=24v batteries. This was fine until last weekend when we...

Installing a kicker bracket for a 6hp 4-stroke on a 26X
Our 2002 Suzuki 50hp outboard is having some issues. I got a great deal on a long-shaft 6hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboard, so I ordered the Panther 550407AL / 55-0407AL. It turns out that the mounting plate is 8” wide, and the transom on the 26X starts to curve at around 6”. I already prepared a ½” thick...

Re: 26X trailer swap
I am also interested in how the VATB-5925 works for you.
The Bow Eye to Transom Maximum is listed as 23ft.
Did you have to move the axles for better balance?

Re: Load Rite 5S-AC25T6000102LTB1 trailer
Thank you very much. The pictures are very informative. I decided to have a professional transport my boat on his trailer. That way I feel much safer and have all summer to decide what to do with the old trailer. I just tried to call LoadRite but they refer to dealers. Is there a consensus on which ...

Re: Load Rite 5S-AC25T6000102LTB1 trailer
Thanks! I was planning to call Load Rite tomorrow. The one I was looking at sold today for $3k. So the guy bought it for around $4.5k. $1.5k depreciation in 6 years is $250 per year. I would buy a new one if I can find it. OverEasy, thanks for all the input. Dealers in Long Island NY I am looking! T...

Re: Load Rite 5S-AC25T6000102LTB1 trailer
Hi OverEasy, Thank you so much for the information provided. I agree that I should not rely on my rusted trailer. I have found the following. Another person posted this measurement: Bow eye to transom = 23.5'. Looking at the LoadRite specs http://www.loadrite.com/spec-sheet-generation/?sheet_id=2854...

Load Rite 5S-AC25T6000102LTB1 trailer
Hi all, I am a new owner of a 2002 MacGregor 26x. The trailer has new tires but is quite rusty after all these years. I would need to trailer about 40 miles to get to my slip. There is someone who has a used Load Rite 5S-AC25T6000102LTB1 for sale. I am afraid the trailer is a bit short. Another opti...
