She can climb I can't. See if we can spot the other quality that I like in a girl.

Re: Best way to get on your Mac26 when the tailer is in the water
Yes, it’s still on the trailer and free floating while I’m trying to get on it. I like the ladder and found one that I can order from Walmart and return it in store for 30 days. I may just order that one and try it. https://www.walmart.com/ip/JIF-Marine-DMT4A-7-4-Step-Gunwale-7-in-Hook-Boat-Ladder-A...

Re: Best way to get on your Mac26 when the tailer is in the water
I would like to do more sailing by myself and even camp on the water overnight. It’s not that I’m a loner, in fact, there are two major swim areas within 45 minutes of sailing. Now you have to talk to all these super girls in bikinis, but fortunately most of them are polite, charm school or somethin...

Re: Best way to get on your Mac26 when the tailer is in the water
I backup the Mac 26S into the water. Now I have to climb up the front ladder (risky) or the back ladder (easy). The trailer is the original trailer and in very good shape. Getting on from the back while in the water seems the best way to go when alone. It seems safer and quicker given my dock setup....

Best way to get on your Mac26 when the tailer is in the water
I have a Macgregor 26S trailer sailor. Sometimes I want to sail just a few hours by myself. My problem is getting on the boat when launching it. Currently I push it off the tailor and use a long rope to walk it to the dock about 30 feet away. I’m thinking of something that will let me get on the boa...

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
I was looking at and praying that I could do the entire trip with it hanging over the back. If only the parking lot wasn't one-way it would be so easy.

I would love to have one of them, but I haven't found a conversion video yet from the wood crutch that I have to a roller one.

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
>>>Why not just rig the boat in the parking lot right next to the ramp? What am I missing?
I do but have to take it down because of all the powerlines, see the video from 7:30 on, my brother asks the same question in the lot.

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
>> 10 mph or less Yes, my only hope was "everybody does it" The reason I don't like sliding the mast back is it's not quick and easy for me yet. I'm hoping that a roller mast crutch balanced with the mast might make it a cleaner operation for me. Everything I've looked at is part of a rail...

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lW9avi1mgU This video has my entire 5-mile trip. The question you ask starts at 7:30 minutes into the video. At the end when my brother asks all his questions, I raise the mast to get the rigging into a good place and then I let it back down (hanging over the back) a...

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
I was hoping that some Mac guys would do it all of the time. I was thinking of getting a tall roller mast crutch and bolt it on the back of the transom because I do get too much bounce.

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
Here are some videos that have the system in some of the frames, I'll try to show more detail in upcoming videos. The bird winch can lift 600lb I would hate to have to feed these monster birds. The system is strong, cheap, and an easy diy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywtoyTtP9Zs www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
• See pictures and google best prices. • Get an eye bolt and some strap for the back of the pole • Look at some fence posts at your local store 5 to 6 or so feet tall • Look at the mast pole straps in the picture to judge the diameter of the pole you’ll need • Because of our application don’t use th...

Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives?
Does anyone drive their 26 with the mast hanging over the back, any issues with doing that for short drives? From my yard to the dock is 5.9 miles. The parking lot where I set up has powerlines all-around, so I raise the mast and then lower it again so that it hangs over the back. I then drive with ...
