Re: The Impossible happened

That is so sad to see. Glad no one got hurt though and glad that it's not fully submerged. Should be usable still I would think, based on the photo at least, but what a mess

Re: Battery drained

Good find! Good luck with the repair. With a hole that size I think you'd be fine with a scuffing up the area a bit, cleaning it up with some alcohol, and then filling it with some epoxy. Fiberglassing would work too, and would be a nice introduction to it if you've not done it before. If you go tha...

Sweet. I always wondered what those were for on the BWY site. Just placed an order for one to try out with my spinnaker and maybe my jib

Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

From what I can tell, the Wallas heater pulls combustion air in and pushes exhaust out of the same sleeved through-hull. Am I right? That's pretty cool. I wish the chinese heaters did that - one less hole to put in a boat that way. But they really aren't made with boats in mind I think, since they p...

The combination Wallas heater+stove was mentioned earlier. I thought this combination heater+water heater looked clever too...

Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

Jeff, your Wallas and other air heaters sound awesome. Do you have any pictures? Would love to see your install. I found pictures from several other folks searching for "wallas 1300" online, but would love to see one specifically for a Mac. Looks like Wallas also makes a diesel water heate...

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Sounds terrifying.

Those holes you drilled in the floor - what did you intend them to drain the water into?

Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

I've been on the fence about putting in a heater like this for a while. I think for now I'm going to tip toe into heat with one of these Mr. Heater Portable Buddy heaters.

Seems like they work well and you can take them to other places for other uses too

Re: Max26x Repower: Suzuki DF60A vs DF60AV

Description from the Suzuki site, which I'm sure you've already read, but for others who may not have yet: The New DF60AV is designed with a “High Energy Rotation” lower unit, sporting a 2.42:1 gear ratio, enabling this new model to use a bigger 14″ propeller – perfect for powering pontoon boats and...

Re: Max26x Repower: Suzuki DF60A vs DF60AV

I have a Suzuki DF60A and have loved it. I've only used it in fresh water. I've been servicing it myself and getting parts online from https://www.brownspoint.com/

Very fuel efficient. Similar feedback to what was given about noise, etc above. I believe mine is a 2012 or 2011 model year

I'm thinking I need a decal for Luna Azul.

Where did you get it?
I ended up getting it from this guy's store on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/str/vintagetoycenter . He has some odd stuff in there though :)
