Re: Keel position, winch view obscured
I have not had my Venture out yet, just got it. but my thought would be the first time you lower it would be to count the number of turns of turns it takes to get to slack (fully extended) then figure out how many turns would be i/2 and 1/4, 3/4
just a idea.
just a idea.

Re: 3D Printed Mast Cap
any interest in selling them, I am not financially able to invest in a 3D printer, but would be interested in one for a Mac 25. I was looking at making one out of some 3/4 starboard but this is much nicer.
thanks Garry

turnbuckles
I am wanting to replace the shroud tensioning with turnbuckles, as the boat is new to me, and the PO had the mast reversed when trailering, none of the shrouds were connected . i can do a guesstamate of the length of the turnbuckle, but would appreciate a seasoned response. what length and size of t...

styrofoam flotation in a Mac 25
as I am new to this boat, I have a question, hopefully not dumb. in looking in the hold's or bilge whatever it is called. in the cockpit where the foam is suppose to be. is there a diagram of where it is to be located? mine was strewn everywhere. I would like to put it back in its original location....

Re: Repost from wrong area
thanks for your reply on the comment of the 25 not being ocean worthy. My goal is to sail it to Florida (Jacksonville) not sure yet the starting point. Chesapeake bay ? do not plan on going far out but do not want to do the ICW as I want to sail. I will be leaving the boat with my Son (step) as a gi...

Re: Repost from wrong area
Maraquita first it was not my intent to twist the metal rather to remove one of the mounting bolts and rotate as a whole and reattach. I see what you mean now, I do not have that, but I can get a vernier , was going to change the original out for some 1/4 in turnbuckles for the shrouds, the forestay...

Re: Repost from wrong area
there are two winches at the bow on the trailer. one for the bow eye for loading the boat on the trailer, one higher i think to help raise the mast. I was thinking about a split backstay, ( adjustable bridle) still contused on how the original backstay was configured, have not been able to find a go...

Re: Need help fixing mast step for m25
that's what mine has, but its not slotted. foot stays bolted to the mast. align the hols at the base, now it will pivot up acting as a hinge.

Re: Repost from wrong area
Whats your thought on rotating the back stay mount 90 deg so it is inline with the axis of the backstay. rather than having a bend in the bracket.
thanks for your input. would you have a photo of how it is supposed to be?

Re: New to forum
Thanks for the Welcome, I think I will enjoy this site, getting things sorted out on the boat, perused the mods section, got a lot of ideas, starting with the galley, making it permanent as I don't need the bed space, I think it as some class to the boat. but firs on the agenda is to learn how to sa...
