Re: Boom tent...
Thanks for the replies y'all. I ended up using shockcord and some cool clamshell cam thingies. Worked like a charm. Attaching it to the jib cars makes it easy to adjust for the right shape and using shockcord allows put the poptop up even if the tent is deployed. I think I'm gonna get a longer and w...

Re: New Question 3 - Rudder handling
It's truly annoying and I hate it. Maybe some sort of "car" bolted to the tiller with something slippery to slide it on?

Re: New Question 3 - Rudder handling
Looks like Idasailor used to make a riser. Does anyone have this and can give me measurements? I'd like to make my own because it doesn't seem to be for sale anymore.

New Question 3 - Rudder handling
26s... I went out for my first ride with just the motor yesterday and I found I did not like the action of the rudder. It appears that it is designed to sit on the top of the laz hatch and "slide" on the piece of plastic screwed to the underside? I didn't like the scraping and it got hung ...

New Question 2... How much shroud tension for 26s?
I found the manual to be not very illuminating on the subject. It says "snug". I set mine "snug" which I interpret to mean that there is no slack at rest. Then I measured using the main halyard the distance side to side and I think I'm roughly even. Then I did the same for the lo...

New question 1... Boom hardware
With the help of a friend I figured out that the blocks and line setup I thought was actually the main sheet is actually the vang. So I was able to make up a mainsheet with the box of hardware the PO left me and attach it as such to the traveler and the boom. So I have the bail for the vang, the bai...

Re: I did a thing...
Got a good look at the boat today. It's a horrorshow. Inside has 4 inches of water. everything mildewed and gross. the outside isn't much better. Sadly, I think this one is headed for landfill after I get the parts I want. Looks like I'll be able to use: 1. Swim Ladder 2. Stern rail (!!!) 3. Mast an...

Re: I did a thing...
It's hard to tell the condition of the 25. I would say it's marginal. Lots of rust on the keel. Broken Keel cable and generally very dirty. But everything seems to be there and working. Trying to decided what to do with it.

I did a thing...
I needed a new trailer as the original was rusted out. I came across a facebook ad for a 26s and trailer for sale in Raleigh. I figured I could buy, take some parts from the boat (stern rail, pop top hatch and forward hatch) that were dodgy on my boat and scrap the boat after removing everything of ...

Re: Differences between Mac 25 and 26s
yes, tough to tell much other than it looks like the mast and rigging is a good bit different so I suspect the mast won't be a good spare.
Thanks for the links tho
