I dont see any holes anywhere in that area. How was the original piece of wood secured to the hull? Maybe just some 3M 5200 type adhesive?

I was thinking of metal as well but was concerned about it bouncing around against the fiberglass hull.

Does anyone sell premade hatch rails? Both my upper sliding hatch and my entryway cover rails are beyond repair. I assume the originals were made out of teak?

Anyone have an extra rudder they are willing to part with for a Venture 17 ? Rudder craft makes them but they are very pricey. Thanks in advance for any advice or help here.

Not sure of the year. Thats part of what im trying to figure out. The boat was free and came with zero documentation. Is there an easy way to help determine the year model? What years were they produced? My guess is this boat was built pre-hin requirement.

My Venture 17 does not have a hull ID in the right rear corner. Is there any other place that they put them as a backup or alternative. How do I register the boat if one cannot be located?
