Re: Have you had enough of Facebook?

kmclemore did you just enjoy the outdoors or did you get something for supper? Just off to fill the freezer, Ris. Getting low on venison and the wife and I like eating it. As for not watching the news, yeah, I’m doing that a lot. I won’t get political but let’s just say I’m disappointed that there ...

Re: Have you had enough of Facebook?

Since I have never been on Facebook, I can only sympathize. I must tell you, be careful how this thread progresses. Keep it nice :) I don't want to have to stop it. :( I moved the topic to the Front Room. This is where it belongs. Thanks, Ray. I've been off hunting for a week so I haven't been able...

Thanks to Kevin's metallurgy skills, he has repaired a pair. He let me help, under his tutelage.

Just seeing this, Ray. Can't see the image though... is it not there, or is it just me not seeing it?

Re: Passing (dropping) of the torch

Kevin seems to have a line to Laura Sharp. Maybe he can offer more. Sorry, just seeing this. I wish I could, Russ. I haven’t heard from Laura in a long time. I do have her direct contact info, as well as Roger’s phone and such too, but I’m loathe to ‘bug’ them about the future of Macs/Tattoos. Last...

Re: Thanks to the Members....

Hey moderators, any thought to reaching out to some of the MIA regulars? I'm thinking about people like bilgemaster, sumner, Quebec1 (he just posted on the Facebook page), miss ollie and the like. I haven't heard a peep from Sumner in a long time and I hope he's all right. Maybe a poke through emai...

Thanks to the Members....

I want to personally thank all of our members for keeping this forum all about boats and not letting it get dragged into a political morass. In the past we admins have sometimes had to jail threads, 'instruct' members on proper behaviour or generally play 'bad guy' to anyone with an axe to grind. It...

Anyone want a free MacGregor 21?

Saw this pop up today on Craigslist here in the Philadelphia area. Includes trailer, 5hp Mercury motor and boat, with PA titles. Hey, it's free - how can you go wrong? https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/boa/d/philadelphia-free-macgregor-21-sail/7209331819.html (Usual caveats - I don't know the sell...

Re: Cracked polyester hull after a bad accident

This sort of repair is not at all impossible. I have repaired many a fiberglass car (mostly Lotuses) and I've fixed a LOT worse. Ideally, you could take a mold from another Mac and then fabricate a new part in that mold, feathering the edges... then, cut out the old part to the extents of the new pa...

May be, but it’s built in GB and a h3ll of a lot of fun to drive!
I forgot they are made in Cowley now, aren’t they?
Yep. Although, truth be told, the convertibles are made in the Netherlands.

Yeah, but like hitting your hand with a hammer, it feels good when you stop. :| If so, I’ve hit my hand...A LOT.... 47+ times over the years. The stable has been whittled down to only 5 at this point: And how is your hand feeling? Photo from 2 days ago... https://i.postimg.cc/XppfJhcb/86792-BBB-DA0...
