Re: Lost Venture 21

Ray, it sounds like he's trying to document his days at sea in order to get a Merchant Mariner Credentials certificate, and in order to do so he need to document a certain amount of time at sea.

Russ, should we advertise this on the Facebook pages, or are we keeping this for “members only”?

What shall we call a gathering of Macs??

I happened to see a link on Facebook where a group of Macs got together for a regatta (see link & photo below)... https://www.facebook.com/groups/8994597044/posts/10160964202137045 https://i.postimg.cc/NK1f8n95/484048591-10171144662000375-5748572204096086555-n.jpg ...and it got me wondering... w...

All the blue tape are our “real-time” mark ups of where all the cabinetry and kitchen stuff are gonna fit in. Inch by inch …… :D …. Should go quicker from here on I’m hoping … Did the same thing when I designed and built out our bath, but I used colored yarn and just taped down the ends… then when ...

Keep the Honda. They aren’t gonna make ‘em like that anymore, and with care it will last you until the next ice age. I’ve had 3… even a wagon… loved every one.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question regarding the dingy motor, as I have neither dingy or dingy motor, but I can certainly commiserate on your back... I'm just coming back from a broken lateral condyle in my knee, and thankfully it's going well so far. Just took my first 5-mile hike in over a ye...

Re: Well, you wanted a swim platform....

Here it is. I came across this new company, formed in 2024, that has an interesting range of platforms available for the Mac 26X, 26M and 19. Price looks like $950. I'm not comfy with being so close to the propeller. 8) Well, hopefully it's not RUNNING when you're on that platform! (Yikes! :? )

Here it is. I came across this new company, formed in 2024, that has an interesting range of platforms available for the Mac 26X, 26M and 19. Price looks like $950. The design seems quite simple, but effective, and I see they also have an optional ladder for it ($100 more). Here's the company websit...

Re: What would happen if I fell overboard? (Single handing)

It is sad to hear of Ray’s passing. Great sailors are always a great loss. His ”Ray-line” is indeed a good rescue method, though. I posted about it a while back, but I considered it a temporary line. The docking use angle is a nice thought, though, and I’ll have to try it on my Mac. Previous thread…...
