Seems weird to have the nut then a one inch shaft then the handle. Thinking about it the clutch must release upon CCW turn of the handle. Trying to think how the winch works inside. Thanks

Hi, I want to use a piece of 1/2 in HDPE high density polyethylene. A small block about 2-3 inches as the backing for my Mac 25 1983 bow eye. Any concerns about this? Thanks, Pete
