Re: Genoa Sunbrella add-on vs sock cover
I am following that thread with great interest. I was just about ready to get a new 150% genoa with a sock.....Why? 4 years ago I bought the factory 150% genoa with a sewn in UV - cover ; it handles and looks great but after 3 years the problems started. Oviously the sail stretches, the Uv cover did...

Re: Gorilla glue (polyurethane)
I use GG extensively for my other hobby - model flying airplanes. There are 2 different ones - the yellow one (which will turn even more yellow over time) is a slow cure and then there is the white one which cures pretty quick. Normally I do not add water at all - there is enough moisture in the atm...

Re: Covered slip - lowering/raising mast on water
With the factory installed mast raising system its absolutely safe and no problem to raise / lower the mast on the water. Although my boat ( now a M, before that I had a X for 10 years) is stored on a lift, every time I go out I have to go underneath a bridge and I have to lower and raise the mast c...

Re: New Member, new to sailing, in the market for a Mac 26M
Not really true: I had a 26 x, and I loved it. But when I saw the M I was hooked, sold the x and I am even more happy with my 2008 M now!:)One thing is certain, X owners will push the X, M owners will push the M.

Re: Rigging for assymetrical spinnaker
Thank you for the info, that would be an option. However, I would rather have the original part, and it was mentioned earlier in this thread that Bwy has it. Its a bit dissappointing that BWY do not reply to 3 emails, I only get the automatic reply "your message has been read".

Re: Buying a MAC in FL
Same here - I bought my M 2008 from John as well. I don't know about his Tampa Location, mine came from Nebraska too. Gary and his wife drove it down to Naples and rigged it in my front yard. Very pleasant experience, no problems at all, very good service and great price including delivery! www.supe...

Re: Roller Reefing Main for the 26M
I am in the same boat, looking for a roller reefing main. Anybody with experience and info where to buy? Are there different options available? Is it possible to lower the mast with a roller reef attached to the mast like with the standard main on an M?

I believe the Suzuki 70 was a perfect choice, in my opinion the wedges are a must be. Lightly laded (3 normal persons no ballast I can reach22mph and feel absolutely safe. Waterskiing and wakeboarding with that setup no problem.
