I discovered that I have slugs, if I understand what they are correctly. It's easy to raise the mainsail with them, but now I can't use the Spinlock Sail Feeder... I think?

I attached mine tonight and I did put it as close to the widened part as I could. It looks very easy to adjust, so I can always tweak it.

Thanks.

After rewiring directly to the battery, my battery charger still was not lighting up. I realized that my charger was receiving the AC power through my GFCI outlet. I pressed the reset button, and everything worked. I won't forget to do that again... Regardless, I feel better about the charger going ...

That is exactly the device, and I'm really glad to hear that I can use it. About how far below the slot do you attach it? I was thinking 2 inches, I was worried about it eventually sliding up and right out the slot. I would assume you want it as close to the slot as possible? Perhaps there is not th...

Spinlock Sail Feeder

I just found out that I own a Spinlock Sail Feeder. Has anyone had any experience with this item. I can't post a link since I am still new to the board. I tried to Google the item but I can only find out how to purchase it, not how it attaches. I have a 26S, and haven't put the sails up yet. I am ne...

I am going back tonight to wire it directly to the battery. It was a lot easier to work on the boat when it was in my driveway, 20 feet away. The busses are connected directly to the battery. I tested the charger with standard house wiring before I installed it and it worked fine. Thanks for your re...

Battery charger wiring

I am new to sailing, just purchased a 26S, and am learning as fast as I can, so I can get out on the water and relax. I installed a battery charger, and I am wondering if I can connect the charger to the positive and negative busses I installed, instead of directly to the battery. I am asking becaus...

It seems so simple now, I think I am going with the rigid tank so I can secure it to the boat. I will run a venting hose upwards with a shut off valve.

Thanks for your reply!

Water tank question

I just bought my first sailboat, a 26S, I have never sailed and I want to learn for a while to see if I enjoy the experience. I don't see how I can't. I've been doing a lot of mods to make everything more enjoyable, this board has been a wealth of information. I look forward to posting pics when I c...
