There is really no need about hiding the halyards, but if you mean moving the halyards to the cockpit that is really a necessity that I believe macgregor should have solved a the first beginning. My 98 :macx: did not even had sailslugs:) So after installing the slugs I did the following mod. At the ...

Thank you for your posts. Since I came across with a dead battery once I will not retest it with a 12V cooler, it is was a nightmare. I will search for a 240V(our system) cooler for the weekends around the marina. I didnot know they needed 4-5A continious. For your naming problem ALX357, I would sug...

Well I am a webmaster in a portal but DUane's site is more than a portal, it reminded me that I do not use my boat enough. I understand that some people are lucky about their wives, or they are patient to wait enough for their children to love the boat. My daughter is 2.5 only and I have to wait a b...

Thanks for the posts, all are great ideas. But I still believe that under the dinette seat is not a practical way:( For two reasons 1-That is a very good storage place which is missing in X. Just take out the cooler and try putting other things there. You'll see it is a huge area. 2-Openning and clo...

Thanks for your replies and ideas, but in any case if the cooler stays under the seat and if you are eating inside the one sitting on the cooler has to stand up each time you need something from the cooler. Imagine sitting on your refrigerator at home:) I will test under the table option but I feel ...

Best place for cooler in 26X
I was reading the discussion for cooler about 26X, and decided to post this topic. May be I drink and eat too much but, It is a struggle openning and closing the cooler in 26X. For that reason I put my cooler on the left side of the battery, behind the stairs. Up to now I am happy with it since I al...

Ysayin I have a 26 M :macm: , I am located in France and have the same problems as you ( with vocabulary, and with access to my boat from the pier), I made a gang plank with an aluminium ladder cover with a plate of plywood, I fixed it to the hammock at the bow with a specific part buy at shipchand...

I am having a little trouble with understanding with the language barrier. I removed the lifelines around the cockpit (steering wheel area) . There is something called a mediterranian mooring method where you drop the bow anchor and then drift or motor backwards to tie up stern-to the pier. This he...

Sorry I am poor about the vocabulary. Well I have a 26X year 1998 and since I am afraid of the engine I have to dock from the head. I tried the back once but it is difficult for me. We have a concrete pier and is as high as the boat. Did you remove the lifelines on the head or on the portside? I wat...

Do I need a gangboard?
I don't know if gangboard is the right word but I am having trouble about getting on the boat? I have a one year old daughter and when she is with me it is even worse.
Has anyone tried a platform from the dock to the bow?

Thanks
Thanks for your help, I never care about anything about my car. I repair such a damage may be 2 years later but when it comes to my boat since I don't know the risk I'm taking about doing something wrong I don't feel comfortable.

It is as bis as a golf ball and I can see the fiberglass. Would it be enough if I use something like they use on the cars o...
