Re: HEAD-Pump Out Suggestions?
Maybe you could set up a portable macerator pump out system. If the lift to the pump out fitting is too high for the macerator to lift (~5’), then install a short hose on the suction side and go directly into the tank. Then you could put a long hose on the pressure side to go to your destination. To...

LED Tailights
On my last trip home from the lake, I noticed the right turn signal had stopped working. On inspection I saw corrosion at the socket even though it was a “sealed” unit. I replaced both tail/brake lights with sealed LED units and so far I’m impressed with them. They light up faster than the old ones ...

Re: Disconnect Trailer Brakes For X Trailer ??
Hi Egress, I checked 2 sites and it looks like you are required to have trailer brakes by law in Nevada ( BoatUS , Rocket Trailers ). Regardless of the law, I wouldn't tow my Mac without trailer brakes. One of the first upgrades I did was replace the original drum brakes with stainless steel disks. ...

Re: Help.. Yamaha T50 bigfoot stuck in gear
The marina towed me to the ramp this morning and I hauled her home, got everything unloaded then checked the motor out. I lowered the motor, removed the cover and noticed a loose bolt at the front lower lip for the cover. I noticed two of the the bolts holding the cable cover on the motor weren't ti...

Re: Raystown Lake PA- Porta Pottie Ban
Kevin,
We had a slip for 4 nights at Raystown Lake Resort ($35 per night) with the intention of using it the first and last night, but ended up in the slip the whole time because of an engine problem. If you stay at the marina overnight you comply since they have facilities there.

Raystown Lake PA- Porta Pottie Ban
FYI- for anyone wishing to overnight on Raystown Lake, a US Coast Guard Approved MSD with pump out only must be installed on your boat. Apparently this has been the law but they are now enforcing it. I wouldn't be surprised to see more area's adopting this in the future.

Re: Help.. Yamaha T50 bigfoot stuck in gear
So far nothing has worked to get it out of gear. I'll drop the lower unit when I get home. I didn't want to use my time here working on the engine, so she's been tied up to the slip all week. It's worked out pretty well though. We are staying at Raystown Lake Resort Marina and we have seen and done ...

Help.. Yamaha T50 bigfoot stuck in gear
First family vacation on the boat this year. I backed the boat away from the pier after unloading from the trailer, and put it in forward to idle over to the slip. Approaching the slip at slow speed, daughter in foreward hatch with docklines and wife and sons at slip waiting for us. I tried to pull ...

I’ve been working on a swim platform idea since summer. We spent a few weeks at Raystown Lake this and I saw an offshore boat in the marina with a metal swim platform mounted on the back. I kept admiring it and thinking that something similar could solve a lot of deficiencies I have with my X. I mad...

Thanks for the nice comments. I found the unit listed on e-bay by a dealer in Ohio, bone color was $350 white $360, but I don’t see a current listing or remember the name. If I can find his name I’ll post it. This year was our 25 year anniversary and my wife wanted a ring, I wanted a new head for th...

I finally took the Plunge- New X Head Phase I
After despising the head and porta potty for the last 4 years, I decided to give the head a permanent toilet. After reviewing the options, I decided on the SEALAND Traveler with the attached 9 gallon holding tank and the new white finish. I also purchased a Jabsco Macerator and a stainless steel was...

When the strap is tight, it pulls down on the bow. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q269/imowlawn2001/CIMG2222.jpg The boat didn't move forward all the way on the bump and the guard peeled loose from the force. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q269/imowlawn2001/CIMG2221.jpg I didn't lube the bun...
