Re: Where to purchase round plastic hole covers for head liner??

Hi Cruiser
do a search on the main site and you should find it has come up often... They are just a standard sort of plug found in homeware stores like bunnings...
Good to see a 26S in sunny BNE :)

Re: center board sticking up

I have found a fairly simple process that, at least for me, works a treat.... (I have had mine stuck several times) I let out maybe 3 inches of centerboard line and then throttle up just enough to get the bow lifting (a semi plane maybe 7-8 knots) and the force of the water pops the centerboard out ...

Re: Food / Drink Poll

Hi Glenn Pizza in a Magma works great with a stone! We often do damper and also have done a cake or two. We have found success is keeping the bread/cake not too deep to allow them to cook quickly to reduce burning the bottom. We place a trivett under the stone or cake tin to lift it a bit higher to ...

Re: Lifespan of a "M" Trailer

I have a 97 Mac on its original trailer and I have to say if it is looked after it will last just as long as any other trailer. I must admit I have replaced the brakes so something more suitable for immersion in a marine environment. I have my boat in the water almost every other week and always in ...

Re: Raise the trailer winch, avoid the Bump

Ditto Carriacou's comments about putting the trailer more into the water. I generally stop just as the top of the mud guards are submerged and the boat basically floats on and off. Have a look at the Mac sales Video. I can't find the 26X video in my quick search on you tube but if you look at the 26...

Re: Cutter Rig on the cheap

No you misunderstand...I think the addition of a little foresail is not a bad idea......but some other additional sails and rigging on these forums is exploring the envelope just a bit too far Hi Bartmac Apology/clarification graciously accepted :D :D :D A little misunderstanding can do that.... I ...

Re: Cutter Rig on the cheap

Errrrr.... I am not sure I like what you are implying???? I stated in my post that I have a jib so adding a small extra bit of sail is still well under having a genoa and I was sailing in light wind. There is NO way on this planet that I would EVER compromise on safety!!!!! And if you read my commen...
