Re: Off Season, smaller boat?
You'll regret it. Keep the 26M. As mentioned above, there are ways to make storing easier.

Re: aerobic sailing???
Heck, in Texas they don’t even break the hitch lock, they have apparently perfected just pulling the hitch pin so they can steal the hitch too!) When I first bought my Mac and was towing it back from Seattle, I bought a lockable hitch pin. I didn't know much about towing and thought it was a good i...

Re: New Tow Vehicle
Fun story.
I was thinking, "why didn't he rent the truck one way?" But you had to use those "free" tickets.

Congrats. Looks great.
It seems many of these car makers are installing 4 cylinder turbo charged power plants in their vehicles.
Report back on how she tows.

Re: Rub rail, other style....
I'm running with orignal factory rub rail. It is fully intact and no issues. Perhaps your issues are with how/where it contacts other objects. My rubrail almost never touches anything. The docks I connect with are lower and bumpers seem to work well on that area. If I were running against pilings an...

Ditto on the photos. A picture would help.
I would think epoxy might be your best option. Prepping is key as the fiberglass has some wax or other substance they use in the mold to keep it from sticking.

Re: drop keel rigging
The resources section of this site has manuals etc. for your boat. https://www.macgregorsailors.com/resources.html The mast rotating on the base should not have much play in it. If you remove the plate on the bottom of the mast you can tighten it to proper tension. Factory used a few washers as &quo...

Posting here is nice, thanks, but it’s not enough. Write your congressman. Join B.O.A.T.U.S. Make yourself heard. Otherwise it’s like discussing how many angels can fit on the head of a pin. Interesting, but useless. Just saying. From the link above: How to Weigh In The Coast Guard is asking for pu...

Re: Chicken pox
The bow edge looks pretty beat up. Mine is worn similarly just not as bad as that. Just the gelcoat is worn off. Mine from beaching and hitting the trailer too hard. The glass underneath is still solid. Touching it up with some paint might make it look better. Your boat your rules. Again, if it were...
