Re: hull serial number
I looked all over the starboard stern.
I mounted an outboard bracket on the sten and the 4 HP johnson I had there might have whipped off the plate
Can not find it in the battery box without pulling both batteries---can not see all the box with both bateries in .
Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Re: Winter Storage Cover for 26M
I use pvc both when docked overnight and for storage when the mast is down. Cut 10 inch pieces from and old lawn chair and tape to top of stanchions with hockey tape. The pvc will bend in a hoop between the lawn chair pieces and stay in place . A 30 by 20 tarp will cover the whole boat .ends of pvc ...

The 26x came with a 18 inch clear plastic tube.It was a year befor I found out what it was for.
You put it in the ballast vent, puit your finger over the end, pull it out and see how much ballest is in the tank.
Has every one forgotten this????

Re: anyone adapted aluminum M trailer to the X?
The aluminum trailer sells for $2600 in Vancouver BC. I have owned an aluminum boat for 30 + years and know the type of aluminum is critical. standard al disolver in sea water very very quikly---let alone electroysis problems. Re: Evinrude 60 Etec
I Have done some caculations and determined that if the engine could turn a full 5000 rpm that the boat could do 19 knots.
the dealer claims the mac 26m is delivered to him with the evenrude 60 e tech factory installed.
Since the Mac web site only lists the 50 hp e tech, this does not arrear valid.

Evinrude 60 Etec
Gerry Berg has sold his business to Johnsaffodableboats.ca They are located in Albion, Canada. Phones are the same as Berg's were.
