Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

Jim, I understand all of that. Without rereading, I think it was stated the air is dried by the unit.. I just want to know how warm it gets. The unit is being used in an Alaskan environment. We know that it gets cool in the evenings. So, how well does the unit work? That answer is explained with a t...

Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

Thanks for the detailed info Jeff.

Third time: how warm does it get in the cabin during those cool nights? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

Be Free wrote: Sat Jul 13, 2024 8:24 pm The active ingredient in both Slimy Grimy and Starbrite is oxalic acid. Oxalic acid is works very well on organic stains. If you want to save some money you can buy oxalic acid in a powdered form at a very reasonable price and make your own.
Very good information. Thanks.

Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

Jeff, stating this: and the heat exchanger design helps drive moisture out of the cabin during cool rainy periods. does not clarify how a heat exchanger performs. I confess, I didn’t understand how it works. I’m sure I’m not alone. I had to look it up. Assuming this unit is in the cabin, please expl...

Re: diesel air heater (100.--), who installed?

Jeff,

(A) With it, how warm does the cabin get on the coolest summer nights? Your :macm: is 10’ (3m) longer than the recommended boat length.

(B) How did you exhaust it to outside the cabin?

Re: How I clean the bottom

I tried pressure washing
This is easier. The garden sprayer is definitely not a pressure washer. :D

Re: How I clean the bottom

So you have to put it back in the bottle through the spray nozzle? :| I use the powder form. I mix it in a one gallon garden sprayer with hot/warm water (your choice), pump and spray. If any left over, it stays in the garden sprayer. https://i.postimg.cc/jCb3x77b/IMG-3830.jpg See my previous...

I should have added that there are no phosphates in the product, it won’t hurt the fish or plants.

It appears that I used it backwards :)

Re: How I clean the bottom

Slimmy Grimmy is a powder. I mix the required amount with a gallon of hot/warm water and spray. The powder has a long shelf life. The stuff I just used in the video is years old. :D

How I clean the bottom

I thought I would share my results with Slimmy Grimmy. The boat was in the freshwater Chesapeake for seventeen days. The brown scum is apparent. Six days later, I now am going to clean the bottom. It has been baking hot here for days. These are not sped up videos. 1st I hose down the area. 2nd I spr...

Re: Wildfire near our marina

That is kinda scary having that fire being so close. On one of our many trips to Lake George, NY, there was a forest fire on an mountain about three miles (4.8km) away from our cabin. The difference being, there was a three mile wide lake between it and us. It made for some entertaining evenings wat...

Re: Battery drained

Do you see the difference between the two?

Not $750, but rather $422. Maybe better if you shop around.

$208. Obviously the better deal.

The second one is what has been in my Mac for twenty years.
