Re: The Admiral Wants Heat
TOTALLY OFF SUBJECT REPLY.
Jimmy,
I have always been jealous of you being able to store your Mac in your own garage (no apology for that. It is what it is), but how are you able to bring it in bow first? How do you bring her out?

Truly impressed.
I have talents, and I also know my limitations, you and Kevin both know your stuff. With your project, I would need to hire out. Good luck.

Jimmy,
Are you the guy who looks like he’s ready for arctic exploration, as opposed to the other chap in jeans, and a top?

Thanks Kurz.
I needed to research this to get a better understanding of the technique.

With our Mac’s, doing this on a windy day will be frustrating.

Re: Well, you wanted a swim platform....
I understand what David means. I’m not in the custom of quoting Forrest Gump, but “Stupid is what stupid does”. There are too many of those at the helm. I’ve seen too many. As to the platform itself, it’s too large for me, and the boarding ladder on the stern has always met my needs. The motor is al...

It seems the most common sense advise is “Stay In The Boat™. How appropriate that DECKEE just sent this. PREVENT FALLING OVERBOARD: DECKEE’S TOP TIPS The best way to stay safe on a boat is to avoid falling overboard at all costs. Retrieving someone from the water is a big challenge, especially for s...

If that fella was wearing a self inflating PFD, I don’t see him having any success in getting beck on that boat. I have a dinghy called a Phantom; similar to a Sunfish. Turtling the dinghy is not unusual. Wearing a self inflating PFD makes it difficult to slide back up on the boat. In my youth, I di...

Re: What would happen if I fell overboard? (Single handing)
That sagging line is basically how the line looks; it is not attached from a stanchion, but rather from the most forward cleat. I have one on each side. It has come to my aid in docking quite frequently when no one is around to help. Slowww down, and step off while holding the line, and move forward...
