Re: Bent spreader

What Russ said is what many do. Some even hammer a woooden dowel into the tube for reinforcement. Personally, I have ordered from BWY. I have reduced my chances to bend spreaders by removing the spreaders while preparing to derig. When getting ready to raise the mast, I reinstall them once the mast ...

Re: Copano Bay and Port Aransas

First off, welcome to our forum. There are forum members from Texas (I had to look up Copano Bay) who may have knowledge of the area. It doesn’t look very deep in the bay. https://i.postimg.cc/0rtpgN1k/IMG-8924.png Port Aransas looks good. https://i.postimg.cc/XXhpcB0k/IMG-8925.png Be sure to post p...

I'm going to pretend I knew that was a very old post and say, "Good info for future owners" :P Be Free,Don't worry. Dog House probably did not see your post. His last post was May 2016. If he is still around, he has not been posting. Since his relocation of three years is up, he may have ...

Re: Interior Cabin Paint

Jolly Dodger, There are ways a lot less drastic than repainting the interior to offset the drab beige interior. As a retired interior interior designer (last 17 years of my career). Make your eyes focus on something else. I put in bold carpeting and hung things. The carpet on the walls makes it easy...

Re: Lake Tahoe water level surges

Those numbers give an impressive example of how large that lake is; 16,000,000,000. gallons of water (50,566,589,0000.liters), raises the lake 6” (15.24 cm)

Re: Settee cushions for MacGregor 25

I have no idea what the interior of a 25 looks like. I went to our resources section and looked up the manual. Unfortunately, since our new system of protection for the Mac site prevents me from uploading photos from my phone’s photo app. I will try to explain what I saw in the 25’s manual. There is...

Re: 04 26M Table

One of the most unusual modifications to the interior of an 04 M was done by Bertrand Beaudry. Any photos from that time were posted via Photobucket. Those photos are no longer available. If I remember correctly, he had drawback draperies in front of the aft birth.

Re: 04 26M Table

And I saw the very first 05 he sold. Different steering hardware, some rigging (both standing and running) and, of course, no sliding galley.
Please excuse me if I got this totally wrong, but I’m reading your post as stating the 2005 M has no sliding galley. It does.

Re: 04 26M Table

I believe the change was with the 2005 :macm:

When I went to the Annapolis boat show the next year (2004), the 2005 model was what was being sold. That’s when I bought mine.

Re: 04 26M Table

I’m goin back more than a couple of decades, but, in October of 2003, when I was looking to purchase a new 26M at the Annapolis boat show, the 2004 M was what was being shown. If I remember correctly, the interior was different from all later M’s. The 2003 & 2004 M’s had a center table with port...

Re: Do you mostly sail or motor your Powersailor?

You'd think that adding that to the knot or so it would be making beating into a 2 or 3 knot breeze might get the judge's attention. Maybe :?: maybe not :?: I just posted what he claimed. Seems feasible. Mac’s are so slow, that they they wouldn’t win the race, they would just not loose the r...
