Re: Some dates to get together (Aus)

Hi Brian, We are more than likely out, although love to go for a sail. Had an op on my hand and final inspection on it on the 30th of July. 3 weeks later off to Europe for 9 weeks. It looks like it that we won't be going on the water till at least the middle of November. Whitsundays next year sounds...

Re: Fitting a 26x in to a shipping container?

I know that the axle on my trailer was taken off too, but I never saw it. The people that unloaded the boat, put the whole thing together for me again, including putting the boat on the trailer. All I had to do was to fix the fenders and they lent me all the tools. I wish I still had the American hi...

Re: Tips when visiting L.A

Hi John, If you are going to San Diego there is an outlet center in Carlsbad just off the I5. Approx 75 - 90 minutes south of LA airport and take the Palomar Airport turn off. We always shop there. Purchased a lot of clothes there in March. The perfume shop is closed, but you are better of to buy th...

Re: Trailer

Hi Glenn,

We are in Sydney this weekend, but too late to organise anything. Is it possible to show or send some pics?

'Pink Lady' is off Sydney on Marine Traffic http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx?level0=100 You may have to find Sydney and zoom in. Is it possible to be Impressed, Happy, Proud, and Insanely Jealous at the same time? Lucky for us we had to be in Sydney for a conference. We will be there to...

Re: Trailer

Hi Bob, I tend to agree with just making sure the existing trailer is up to scratch, but I also need to keep the wife happy. I might get the original trailer modified and change the tyres, etc. to a dual axle, if I can't convince the wife. The plan is later on next year, as we have several overseas ...

Trailer

I have the steel trailer for my 2005M modified to Australian standards. My wife, never having sailed before, now enjoys it and time permitting want to go out more and more. I am not concerned about the steel trailer, as long as it is well maintained, but she is concerned about towing it long distanc...

Re: Trailer re-assembly from container

G'day Pete

Congratulations on getting your boat.

As you can see from the previous replies we all had our problems importing. I too would go again with the company I used, even with the minor problems

Happy sailing

Re: Some dates to get together (Aus)

With one foot in each boat, you will soon end up in the drink. That white one will go much slower. :D

bttw.. Coming home from Queensland yesterday met another new Mac owner in Albury. Just picked up his 26X and was towing it back home. Hope to see him on the forum soon.

Re: Paynesville at Easter

Hi Brian, Although we didn't sail together, we still had our social get together with a few of the Mac's, although there were a lot of other Mac's on the water. As far as the proposed meetings, we are out for the following Anzac weekend - Queensland Queens B'day weekend - King Island Sept - Europe N...

Re: Paynesville at Easter

Great weekend and some great sailing. Also good to catch up with several members of the Association. The topic of discussion was to organise some social sailing weekends at the Lakes during the winter. Several have left the boat at the Lakes now to make it easier to get down there.

The plan is still to arrive early on Friday morning till Monday. Let's get a Mac group together.

John, where is your boat stored? We might look at the option as well.

Re: Perth Western Australia Social Sailing

Hi Darren,

Why don't you and all the other Perth owners join the Aus MacGregor Association. We could organise yearly get together's than. You know east against west, blue against white. :) :) :) :)
