Anyone want a free MacGregor 21?
Saw this pop up today on Craigslist here in the Philadelphia area. Includes trailer, 5hp Mercury motor and boat, with PA titles. Hey, it's free - how can you go wrong? https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/boa/d/philadelphia-free-macgregor-21-sail/7209331819.html (Usual caveats - I don't know the sell...

Re: Cracked polyester hull after a bad accident
This sort of repair is not at all impossible. I have repaired many a fiberglass car (mostly Lotuses) and I've fixed a LOT worse. Ideally, you could take a mold from another Mac and then fabricate a new part in that mold, feathering the edges... then, cut out the old part to the extents of the new pa...

Yeah, but like hitting your hand with a hammer, it feels good when you stop. :| If so, I’ve hit my hand...A LOT.... 47+ times over the years. The stable has been whittled down to only 5 at this point: And how is your hand feeling? Photo from 2 days ago... https://i.postimg.cc/XppfJhcb/86792-BBB-DA0...

Re: New lift for my 26x
Thanks Kevin. As soon as the border reopens, we plan on heading down to Lake Champlain, a 45 min.drive from here. I actually was looking at boat ramps with overnight parking and there appears to be a nice one in Rouses Point. We might however head on down to the a thousand islands region first for ...

Re: UGH! Frozen caliper pad on rotor: pass side
.....I got my first car with disc brakes, a Triumph 2000. Yikes - I had a TR2000 (MK I) as well - it was white, so I called it "The Nurse" because of how it looked. That car was wonderful - brutally durable, rode like a dream, had plenty of power and went through deep snow like it wasn't even there...

I absolutely agree with you! If the weather doesn't look awful, and they aren't predicting thunderstorms, go for it! The trouble I have is when I am in the Adirondacks, sailing Lake George (32 miles long [51.4. K]), the surrounding mountains make it difficult to see a storm sneaking up on a boater....

Russ tells me the problem should be fixed now. Give it a try and post back to let me know.
