I have just gotten the windows for my 26D, and the 795 Silicone sealant, from BWY. I would like to paint the gelcoat behind the plastic, but not cut out, a flat black. Would the RTV seal to a Krylon type flat black paint? Or does it need to stick to pure Gel-coat?

Unless you are talking about the "baby stays". Those attach about 4 or 5 feet up the mast and to the roof of the cabin. They are only for supporting the mast when using the "one man mast raising system".
