Paint Code
Does anyone know the official paint name for the 26s? Apparently "white" is not very specific.

Re: Paint Code
All white changes color over time. Are you trying to repaint the whole boat, if so, the original color won't match the yellowed white of the boat. If you are painting just a spot, you may be better off comparing paint chips to the aged white color. If you have an actual chipped piece of white, you can have a paint store match the color of the aged white.

Re: Paint Code
Gotcha. Perhaps a better approach will be to take a palate to the boat, and match.
Thank you.

Re: Paint Code
If you're just patching some small spots, I've used the kit from BWY with good success. Matched my 2002
pretty well. Current price is $23.50. http://shop.bwyachts.com/product-p/1408-1v0.htm

Re: Paint Code
actually, we're doing a scale model. So, if it lands some where between what it was and what it is, I think it will be fine.

John,actually, we're doing a scale model.

Using Testor model paints, you can blend white’s, beige, black, thinner to create shades. This is so easy to do. Little bottles of paint designed for the model builders. What is the scale of this model? What is the model going to be made of? Will it be hand carved, or 3D printer?
Don’t use a camel hair brush. You will end up with hairs in the paint.
