Hi All
I am hoping to buy a new Mac in the very near future and take advantage of the current USD and AUD parity. I would be interested to hear your comments as to what options should be purchased ex USA and what in Aust. Obviously the motor would be purchased in Aust.
The other question I am interested in what most people use as a towing vehicle.
I can then look forward to be on the water.

Hi,and welcome aboard.
I bought my boat secondhand here so I have no comment on importing.
I tow with a nissan pathfinder auto. Ticks all my boxes, especially the on dash 4wd management system.

Do a search under Mistral of importing a 2nd hand Mac on this site or on the Australian TSP site and you will find plenty of information.
Alternatively contact Blue Reef Yachts in Brisbane if you want a new one.

We tow
with the VE Commodore it tows fine but its a bit small with 3 kids and all there stuff.
We also tow with a V6 Magna wagon. it tows good for short hauls. 5km to river and back but wouldn't take it on long trips
. We get lots of laughs till they see we can pull the boat out with less fuss than most others with rear wheel drive spinning in the slime at full power. 
It's not what you have its how you use it.
