Great Video, also like the Powerhead Mainsail, looked effective from above anyway.

I can highly recommend that power sail. It spills the wind nicely on gusts so less lean compared to my old blown out sail. I had it for about 4 yrs already.

I got it from BWY. I think they call it a square top performance sail. It is thicker than the stock Mac sail but I can still use my old sail cover on it.

Reviving this thread ...
I'd like to do part of this sail - where did you put in / take out? Do you have an itinerary of the trip ? Off grid the entire time?

Thanks for the info! I really wanna get up to Georgian Bay from OH. :macx:

One good place to put in is at Killarney. Outstanding cruising waters in the immediate vicinity, including the very beautiful and not to be missed Baye Finne, a highly scenic fjord. Very famous fish and chips place on the waterfront in Killarney. The mountains to the north are made of pure white quartzite, and they look snow covered in mid summer. We launched there in the summer of 2003 and really enjoyed the area. Passed through again while on our loop cruise in 2016. Parry Sound is another highly popular sailing area on Georgian Bay, and the loop route goes right through the area. A real maze of small granite islands and islets, very beautiful but treacherous to boat hulls and props if you're not really careful.

Hi All!

This Georgian Bay Area is beautiful!
While we may not be able to do a Great Loop (anytime soon) Georgian Bay is high on the list of places to visit!
That’s the fun part about our MacGregors, we can actually trailer our boats cross country and still live out on the water!

FishyFabs you have done a great job with your videos!
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!

Best Regards

The two people who probably know Georgian Bay better than anyone here are Bean and Highlander. Besides living there, that's where most of their videos were made.

Geoff now has a 32' keel boat, and John is on the west coast.

We hope to be in Georgian Bay and the North Channel this summer, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. We enjoyed your video thanks for sharing. We spent time in the Bad River in 2019 hope to spend time in the French River this time so the video was a nice preview.
