User Callibration of Raymarine ST 40 Wind

Just before starting the sailing season I remember a uncertainness encountered during the user calibration of the ST 40 Wind last year.
When I was going in circles I never got any response from the wind system that it had derived enough information to brake off circling. Can one confirm that this is correct and there can no message be expected by the ST 40Wind system when circling can be stopped?
