Hello,
Just a quick post to let all you Mods and Members know how much you are appreciated. So much helpful information, thank you.
I recently acquired an

and am in the process of making ready for next season. Every question I have had so far has been addressed in the archives, now I only question myself. I suppose Russ (snow today!) is the nearest member, beer and pizza on me if our paths cross.
Thanks again!

Looks to be in pretty good shape, from what little I can see of it. I feel for you guys that have to put up with that stuff. We are just waiting to see where ETA is headed. Otherwise, the weather is pretty good here.

Congrats. Yea, we are getting snow today. 10+ inches and our Mac is in storage.
Where are you planning on taking her? I've never been to Flathead, but that looks like a great place to sail. We are berthed on Canyon Ferry Lake.

Jimmyt- Yeah, she’s in pretty good shape, a 20 year old time capsule with only minor battle damage. Purchased from the original owner.
Russ- Flathead is nice, but I hope to base out of the house and go “everywhere”. I may have been rendered obsolete by recent events, I’m getting better with that, and this is part of the “cure”.
Kmclemore-Combined with smoked oysters and bacon. Uh huh!

Congrats , but u might want to tie up that furler with a broom pole or other to the mast to support the foil

Good eye Highlander! It will take a nasty set or possibly crack in that cold weather.

Caught me with my furler out...I try to be good, I even slid the whole assembly aft while towing it home, mostly to keep the drum out of the tow vehicle. I think I will go the pvc pipe route....
The mast is raised now while I ponder the rigging. Kinked shrouds, bent spreaders, tensioners, and mast carrier. I’m thinking about a fresh set of standing rigging. The boat came with a minty fresh 20 year old never used RF jib, so perhaps I’ll use it after inspecting the furler and deciding on the well used Genoa

I'd pick the fresh jib over a flabby Genoa.

Mine was the same. Bed sheet for a main, but a new, virtually unused jib, so the genoa lives in its bag most of the time.
Gotta get me some new sails one of these years.
