Folks, I've looked all over this and other sites.
My old Moeller fuel tanks are tired out. While I will refurb the seals for now, I can't find a ready replacement, as the newest ones are too tall (as you all know). How have you folks solved this? I am guessing that there is an unsatisfactory quick fix and a satisfying (yet time consuming) hard core fix.
Thanks in advance

I haven't looked in a while, but are you saying these don't fit.
If I recall, it was the cap or something and folks replaced the cap with a lower one.
Or go upgrade to aluminum tanks.

I am under the impression that the 17 gallon aluminum tanks are for a 26M , Am I wrong? Having to buy an M to get the tanks makes the cost of acquisition higher than planned!

The older Moellers are 10" high, the newer ones 2" more (I believe). I read that one owner made a hatch of the space above the tank so they could just drop it in.
I would be glad to be wrong!

I installed two seventeen gallon fuel tanks in my 2002 26X a few years ago. It has worked out well with no problems.

Here is what we accomplished in transitioning to new dual Moeller 12 gallon tanks on our Mac26X that may be of interest
