Nothing yet. Its been right at 1 month since the last communication I figured it being government stuff it would take time.
I tried to call the ranger early last week from the number she called from and I left a message, no reply.
I plan to call the lady in corpus tomorrow morning and see if she will get the ranger to call me again. I do believe the ranger will get in touch with me, she did seem receptive. If no news, I guess a visit to the rockport office is in order Friday morning :( .

Will post with any outcome on the above plan.

I called the lady in Corpus today: She told me. This should have been taken care of by now.

1. I am on the books to get the boat inspected :D .She looked it up while i was on the phone. When?
2. Then She called the rockport office, talked to the clerk and told me the clerk will call me later today. No call :| .
3 The ranger lady that I was dealing with was only temporary and no longer available for measuring the boat :x ..
4. The new person that will measure the boat has been a ranger for quite some time and she said he does the boat measuring. That's good maybe?
5. She gave me the name of the new ranger and, and the name of the clerk I need to talk to. Whom I already Know she made the copy's for the 1st ranger and has dealt with me on this :(
6.I have no idea who has the copy,s of the paperwork :( ? But they were just copy's :) .

So far we have the lady in corpus, The clerk in rockport, The disappearing ranger lady, The new ranger, and me. I hope that things will move forward

Tomorrow morning I will go to the rockport office and see if i can find out anything.

Whew❗️

That was worse than waiting for an incoming tide to lift you off of a sandbar. I got frustrated just reading all of it.

You should write a book. Title it BUREAUCRACY :!:

Hi Dougiestyle!

This is a real cleat biter of a suspense thriller…..

The mysteries and leads continue to 🕵️‍♀️ flow in with the tide but the boat is still on the mud shoal!
The tension is palpable as the faint breezes of fate blow in one way only to reverse course…
All the while in the background the boat season clock is ticking…ticking…ticking…
Missing papers….
Mysterious phantom rangers appearing only to disappear…
Helpful clerks that promise answer everything but then silence….
The elusive objective within sight yet always somehow out of reach….
The tension continues to build…..
Are there yet unknown storms on the horizon???
Will the clerks continue to help or are they actually clouding to find the protagonist’s breaking point???
Disappearing documents… were they even real or were they only electronic phantoms?
Will the ranger call or is the request lost in email limbo???
When will it all end???
How… just mere inches from freedom… and the plot continues to thicken in the south Texas sun…

:D :D :| :|

Let me continue to Dramatize this :) .

I went by the Rockport office @ 10am this morning and talked to the clerk. She told me the ranger will be in town tomorrow and the next day and said he would call me. Made sure they had the correct phone #. they did. So I got back to my normal Rat killin.
I had just walked into Walmart(I'm a great value kinda guy, that's why I own a Macgregor). Anyway I was there about 10 minutes and I got a call from the new Ranger and he was 10 minutes away from the boat and was ready to do his view the boat. He did have the copy's of the paperwork and had already reviewed them. I told him I will be there in 10 minutes, made it in 8.

When he got to the boat he said:
"HOW THE HEL_ AM I GONNA MEASURE THIS?" He told me that without the paperwork it would cost me a lot of money for Certified marine survey.

He again reiterated that he was doing this because of the paperwork and that I can go to the rockport office tomorrow to get the paperwork that will show it to be 25' 10" boat :D 8) . I believe this should now be a smooth direction to the new title. I hope. Even the clerk was smiling this morning. Things will probably be better when I go for a renewal.

Again I did this because of the extra costs associated with a class 2 boat vs a class1. I would encourage anyone with a similar situation to use this thread and do the same.

I want to Thank everyone who supplied the information and encouragement to do this.

Ahhhh…..haaaaa….
The ole setup to the happy ending with all the suspenseful threads and characters neatly line up and accounted for… or is this the setup of adverse deception where the hero is nearly duped into complacency and suddenly realizes that is all been one deception shell inside another …. Or is there the triple fake at play????
Hang in there for the last act at play of suspense!!!
What happens to our protagonist as he innocently assumes all is as he’s hoped for as he walks to the door of the Rockport office….
The hand reaches for the door annnddddd….. :| :| …..???

Best Regards,
