Companion way hatch dimensions

Post by trswem »

Hello all. Does anyone have a resource for the exact dimensions of the companion way hatch? I want to may an insert that I can put in when we sleep with a flush mount 12v fan to move air through the cabin. We've had some clammy nights lately! I'd go measure mine but my boat is moored 1.5hrs away.

Thanks!

Assuming you are talking about your "D", and assuming that neither of our boats is modified to badly, the top is 32 inches wide, the bottom is 22 1/4 inches wide and it is 17 1/2 inches high. That is the dimensions of the original fiberglass hatch board. The hole, of course is slightly smaller, by about 1 1/2 inches on both sides and the bottom to allow for overlap while sitting in the holders.
