Has anyone ever made thier boat "BIGGER"?
Either by adding a more permanent dog-house(replacing the pop-top), or making the cockpit more enclosed?
I'm getting the urge for more room and most definately "stand-up room".
I don't really want a bigger boat(cause of all the related bigger costs), but I'm looking for one and hoping that I can make my Venture 24-4 do the trick . . . somehow.

Bigger
I saw one for sale on ebay once that the owner had built a bigger house, but when he got done, it was no more room than the canvas with the pop top up. I guess he lived on the boat. It sure made a nice boat ugly (IMHO). It will also render windage problems (similar to the X and M), but it worked. Killed his resale value - it went cheap
Also don't forget what all that extra weight up top might do to sailing. For all the work, I'd get an X - which is what I am going to do when I can.
