...a quick circumcision.
As opposed to a slow circumcision?
Now that's better than a scrapple sandwich.

Def: Scrapple is a savory mush of pork scraps and trimmings :( :P combined with cornmeal and flour, often buckwheat flour. (oy!)

I have to second this suggestion as it is the process we favour.

As for the X head it was one of the main points of favour during the heated M vs X debates, it was argued the X had a fully useable head wheras the M was cramped. This thread seems to contradict that argument. Neither boat has a decent head for anyone but the petite Admiral. So mine has her own private ensuite.
The '03 M has a complete flat floor with a wooden insert for bolting the holding brackets down. It did have a raised wood shelf in there for the PP from the factory but I took it out and mounted the PP on the wood floor insert facing aft. This provided the height for a larger PP holding tank, raised the throne and made more room to get a larger body frame in there. I am 6' 210# with wide shoulders and I have to shoehorn myself in there with the door open. Fortunately the few occasions were rare and I am regular enough to plan for the event elsewhere.

For some reason unbeknownst to me there are three wood inserts on the '03 M cabin sole, a large one that encompasses most of the salon floor under the carpet, a second one that covers the passage from the daggerboard trunk forward to the V berth and a smaller one in the floor of the head. They all provide a great mounting surface for anyone wishing to screw or mount something into the floor. If I took out the carpets I'd have hardwood floors of the same marine plywood the head walls are contructed with. I see the newer models are a complete fiberglass mold that make it iffy to put any screws through. I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing but I do have it on mine.

We had a similar discussion re: doin' the bidness previously.

Its all good and well to say "Make her go in a mason jar" but as for myself, thats why I bought a boat with a bathroom.

I have a friend who has a monster party barge pontoon and he makes the girlies get in the water to go. I could tell that if we were closer to shore my wife wouldn't have gotten back on board.

When we left the dock I asked him about the fact that the head was full due to its role as a storage closet.

I dont think its that much of a chore to take the lower suitcase half of the porta-lou up to the marina and empty it. Im all for makin it big enough to use if thats what it takes. As for me im in trucking, the world is my bathroom. (not shy)

Keeps the girlies happy and they keep me happy!

In a boat load of strangers I use the X's head in my new 5 gal. Porta Potty. Most Captains don't relize this head is for Small People like Rodger and the Admirals and should be treated as such.
I need room and the 5 gal. bucket with cut out lid serves me well, I dump it in the Porta after use (use quart of water bottom of bucket).
Worst part of the Head is there is no room to wipe your butt.
Rodger did design these boats for himself (the runt) and for us 5-11 ft. and 210 lbs or more it just doesn't fit unless you cramp like a Sardine.

Not sure if I want to get into this discussion but ...

I test sat the M's head at the Vancouver Boat Show last year, (don't tell Gerry Berg) and to me, it was no better than our X. Both are very difficult. But better than an open V-birth pot I guess.

I am 6-1 and 215 lbs. and agree with the other larger boys that trying to do even a litlle job, is a hard job in the head. Especially when you have the admirals hanging towels, curtains, etc. I have nothing to grab onto if things start to go wrong, like heaven forbid a sportboat wake at the wrong time. I don't mind sitting to P, but kneeling to P .... Especially on cold nights when my reach isn't that far

I never had a problem with the X head (including wiping) and I'm no little guy. But to save volume in the potty tank, I used and still do use a jug for #1 (solves the short reach problem on cold nights).

Since we sleep in the 7-1/2 foot long quarter berths and use the v-berth front and sides for storage (leave the cushions home), the open v-berth pot is actually pretty handy. Barb made a curtain she can hang from the overhead for privacy. The dual compression posts are good hand holds for heavy weather use. :D

Or if you eat Kevin's "scrapple burger" before you go out.
