My prev. boat, a Mac 26-S, was sold to a family in Chili. They flew here, towed the boat to a port site, packed it into a shipping enclosure, and shipped it to Chili successfully. It was shipped from the Port of Houston.
Since I wasnt involved in the packing or shipping or costs details...I cant help any further. Apparently, it was cost worthy, because MacGregors in good condition arent easily found outside the USA.
The Email pics received occasionally from Chili, show the Mac in fine shape...

Best to have your seller take the boat to Mexico or anywhere other than the USA. Make your purchase, then ship the boat home. This avoids 9.75 percet sales tax and 3 % registration. Taking the boat to Mexico involves delivery to the location you desire.
