blue touch up 26m
newbies might want the white hull, as the blue color. altough it looks great when new is thin and you end up with a white scuff at the least little contact, even just bobbing fenders seem to scuff if up a bit. and until you figure out the docking intricacies (never trust the guy on the dock to fend off, back in, use the landing loop etc. you may bnd up with a few deeper scratches, looking worse on the blue hull than the white , secret revealed
anyone find a good touch up solution if the scuff is not deep enough to warrant the fiberglass repair from blue water??
the eraser product kind of works but probably also removes the surrounding blue gelcoat a bit?
and we have learned to avoid raft ups with other tougher boats in roughter water

I'm also searching for a solution to those annoying small scratches...Maybe if the blue colour layer was a bit thicker they would not show...maybe its the price we pay for the faster blue hull??? Puggsy

Re: blue touch up 26m
I used a blue permanent dye crayon for fabric ( its like a wax crayon )to cover my scratches last year and was pleased to see it lasted the season well! I then redid my blue hull but still keep my crayon on the boat.
Q1
p.s. any sewing store should carry them. It has to be the permanent dye crayon...don't talk to them about boat hull repairs

MON AMI'; just called the Admiral, who just happens to be out shopping, and asked her to pick up a crayon as you described. I also ask that you provide a description, to help us in case the Admiral can't find one. I guess the ICE must be ALMOST gone, as JULY is almost here
Thanks for your experience. stew of "THE RESTLESS TWO"

Re: blue touch up 26m
I went to the auto store and matched up the blue paint with the touch up selection. Looks good works great. I would have never got the blue, got mine used, more money and more work to keep it looking good.

Thanks for the ideas, I got a sharpie permenent marker from wall mart, and that seemed to work better than a fabric markers
(brand name) from the fabric store. cant trust the caps to be the right color.
