Have you ever had your lug nuts come loose after you are sure they were tightened properly?

I use anti-sieze compound and I have never had problems with lug nuts coming loose

My lug nuts deteriorate so badly in salt water I find it a several hour chore to remove them from one tire. This in spite of having coated them generously with no seize. I'll continue to do so, replacing the lug nuts (some went 'round' on me) and using a torque wrench for approximately 85 lbs.

Anti-rust Lug Nuts

Buy some stainless steel lug nuts. Use anti-seize lubricant and do not overtighten to prevent galling.

If you hit the lugs with a bit of WD40 or stronger every few months, they'll stay new a lot longer.
