Ooh ooh that smell....

Post by SkiDeep2001 »

can't you smell that smell. Need a shower? http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus ... 79&rewrote 8) Rob PS: here's a review (not mine)
Great Product simple to install and use.

I have used this product for a week. It was easy to install and works great. To install it you just make a cold water connection, add a hand held shower head with hose and attach the supplied gas line. You need to install a shut off valve before it as the internal water valve does not turn off the water completely. Within 30 seconds of water flowing you get hot water. On high it is too hot so you need to use caution. We just set the flow and flame setting on the unit to get the right temp. We have a 1/4 turn cut off valve on the cold water line. Now when we turn on that valve the heater starts and you get perfect temperature water at the shower head. The gas hose is plenty long so the propane tank can be out of the way. The unit looks good and was easy to hang. Total installation took less than a 1/2 hour.

This thread reminded me of one last summer on "transom showers" - which had already been brought back to my mind when a recent "Sportsman's Guide" catalog had a refurbished, portable propane-heated shower:

Just bought one of these from Zodi thru E-Bay. It's a demo unit, with no stove, just the tank unit. Cost was 79.95 plus shipping. Looks loke they sold out fast, but worth watching for.

Exactly the unit I have, Dan... they work great... good choice... and I bought it the same way - via their 'specials'... and if I recall it was the same price.

$160.00 :o Don't think I need a hot shower that bad ! :D :D :D I'll settle for hanging a 5gal container off the boom ! :D :D :D

Stand in a dish basin while showering & do the dishes at the same time or better still just eat right outa the Pot & share utensils
!

Before Johnie gets too rank with his descriptions of mealtime manners, matters housekeeping and hygiene......

I have observed and spoken with other witnesses the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth......(there were ladies and children present)
despite his fequent affirmations to the contrare....his manners were both continental and impeccable., clothing was always attached, kind words were shared with the youth, and nothing but compliments to the ladies, you didnt have to worry which way the wind was blowing, The clothes colors wer not only discernable but bright, (as was his family!!!!) he was courteous to serving staff, and had a penchant for good behavior. (Even the Admiral and her daughter liked his gentlemanly ways.)

In fact he was so clean and neat, he washed his hands before every waitress (how does he fit a each waitress in such a tiny little sink?)
he left the gum where it was sticking,
he did not get thrown out smuggling scotch into the restaurant
he navigated treacherous paths and waterways with nary a light,
Harsh language was minimal, vocabulary was extensive.
he missed the 15,000 ton ferry

And I did not have to lock up admiral or the cooler. !!!!
but we tried very hard to keep him from sobering up.

and his shirt did not even have a big S on it.
